I hope you can create yourself the xml.
I found most router uses JTAG V2.6 and that is possible to make the JTAG even faster for router while programming and check.

The way to make the xml is to copy your templete (say WRT54GV2) then use XML notepad (free from Microsoft) and you should be able to figure the memory map.
As I have not test that router myself and if you still need me to generate the xml for you. Please setup teamviewer and I can generate the xml for you. You also need to see me in the chat.

Someone had requested to support this router officially.
Can anyone who had JTAGed this box PM me? I will make official XML for this router.

Download from the WRT350N page I created if you do not see WRT54G8M. That will work on all the 8M WRT routers.

Is there any planned support for this? I would be happy to help get it rolling if you can give me some pointing in the right direction.

What is the flash detect you get. Is it 4M flash not 8M flash? This router should be already supported by default.

It is the 4M flash, and this is a v2 router, which may be different than the v1's. I will output the detect when I get home from work.

This is the entire copy/paste from when I detect on the WRT310Nv2.

IDCODE 000A817F
Broadcom Part NotFound 00A8
IMPCODE 00000130
EJTAG V1, V2.0
DMA supoorted
Unknown flash type!
Report these two value to http://www.usbjtag.com/vbforum 0100,c000

The processor is a Broadcom 4716. The flash chip is underneath a heatsink, so I can't see what it is.

To me, it looks like you have connection problem. Check your connection first. (Assume you select WRT54G4M).

I've just resoldered the entire jtag connector, and tried another known good ribbon cable. The only difference was selecting WRT54G4M, which changed the last line of detect to:

If you see somthing like this (first post)

detect
IDCODE 0478517F
Broadcom Part NotFound 4785
IMPCODE 00810904
EJTAG V2.6
DMA supoorted
Found Address= 9c000000 CFI AMD032

Then you are more likely to get it debricked.

At least you should see this line

IMPCODE 00810904

Check your soldering again. I have seen people solder 12 pin on 14 pin JTAG the other way around. pin 1 of the JTAG NT on pin 1 of router.

It's not bricked. I was just bored, and playing around with some devices. I've double and triple checked the soldering (and not to toot my own horn, but I can swap TSOPs, so a 12 pin isn't serious business), so unless the jtag pinouts on the board are not standard, it's right.

I have not found Linksys uses non-stand JTAG pinout. Look at the first post that he got the CPU and flash detected.
