Clips are very Unreliable. Soldering to the SPI Flash Is better, If your good at soldering that is. As far as the Pin out, if its a 16 Pin SPI Flash will be the same as SB6120 and 8 Pin SPI just like SB5101U. And Please Keep post in one Section. No need to Post twice to get responce.thebuzzer wrote:anyone got the 802g to use spi clip method?
I read it is like the 6120 modem pinout but I followed the 6120 diagram i found and cant read the flash chip still. I am not too sure what I am doing wrong. Anyone can lead me to the right direction?

it seems like

if same as the diagram to wire the 6120
pin 2 is powering the board when i turn on the 3.3v i see the lights go on. however I am just getting FF,FF,FF for all my readings. not too sure why

Like I told you Before, the Wireing is the Same on all SPI Flash No mater the Model of Modem, SB6120, UBEE, DPC3000,,,,,,,thebuzzer wrote:ya i suck in soldering

And yes its normal to see some Lights on Board. You can try 5 volts instead of 3.3. Never go Over 5 Volts.
I am sure its User Error related. When providing external power you need 2 wires. One for Postive Voltage and One for Ground, Regardles of Ground Wire from USBJTAG NT, WIre 2...............

I am able to read and write to the TM802G with no problem. Like USBBDM said, It may be user error on the wiring.....Whammy45 wrote:Copyright (C) 2010,2011,2012

If its anything like the 722G then it can be easily supported. Not sure if by default the software does the 722G, However I have been able to read and program the 722G. I don't remember if I made the DLL for it or not, I do have it listed in my Targets.Whammy45 wrote:Ok so no reply means what an error on my end no cause I got a buddy who is doing some testing also that have the same problem relating to the 802g with the winbond chipset....
Moving on usbdm will their be support add for the arris 822g....

I do not think you can make dll for it as I did not publish how to make dll yet.CAPONE wrote:If its anything like the 722G then it can be easily supported.
