I have implemented the slow program. The program speed is 7KB/s when running at 12MHz clock. This will debrick my Sonicview and I use the u-boot from mb411.
Anyone who has Sonicview and would like to test before I release, please let me know. I need a good backup from your box. I will send you a test load that can backup the flash. Also can do slow program.
I might release this version and continue work on faster programming or I can wait the release until the fast programming is finished.

Pmd you the link. Hope you can use it. The first few bytes contains the string BOOTLD so I think it may have boot image.
Been reading and I think there's a program call Binwalk or firmware mod kit that may be able to extract this for you.
devttys0.com use these programs for there work on modems/routers and such.

If you want setup a teamviewer and I can help you make the XML.lattjo wrote:Hi,
I have a Motorola VIP1920 cable box that has a STi7109 CPU.
How can safely I add support for it without destroying the firmware?
Is there a guide on how to probe an unsupported device?
If you do not do any pokeing you will never damage the box.
1. Find the ID and add this to the vendor.xml.
2. Find the memory location and make it the xml.
Then backup your flash. Then it is up to you if you want to program it or not. (If we can detect the flash you are about 98% percent sure we can program the device without issue).
