Hey, Old Timer! The reason why it proudly says 0 is because there's no Channel Map and no NVRAM . Let's hope that you did a Backup first, but if you're attempting to use 7.93 as Firmware, my best guess is that you got it that way. There are a couple of very old NVRAM files in the Download section but none of which will button up your CR4. You'll need the NVRAM from either an Old Board or the CR4. You can try using the PH6 but I've got my doubts. Here's the bonafide correct way to Restore that Old Timer:

reset 1
init
flshdct code (will detect your Flash chip)
ldram nvram
setram nvram
ldram code (put the 7.93 here to start with)
program code (will both erase and reprogram}
reset

Gotta bend that knee, Old Timer! Ya need some practice getting up/down those stairs! Get some practice with that BDM and I'll be standing by. Goodday.

Looks like this flash is not in the definition.

You need to tell what flash this board has and find the datasheet. Then add the flash under tools menu.

Wow-w ! I've seen the list of Flashes that the Admin had compiled a few years ago for the Definition on 2224/2244 models. It was a Printer page long and I'm finding it beyond belief that your Flash hasn't already been cataloged. Are ya sure that the BDM is connected properly ? Phew ! It's time to open that unit up and put a magnifying glass to the Flash chip and confirm that it's been cataloged already. With the right NVRAM and current Code (8.55) this should be an Autoimatic.

The flash on your board is TSOP48. Not the Broadcom chip.

Well, finding local Backup for a unit as prehistoric as that one (date code 1999) will be a challenge. So, put the lid back on and park it into a dark, dusty closet. And, these are probably the easiest units to Bullseye. But, I see a gigantic Paperweight on the horizon. Oh, well.

If you DO have a local Backup of NVRAM, how come your Display is reading a big, fat Zero ? Jesus, I'm NOT gonna walk ya down the stairs - use the Goddamn thing ! And, no, ya don't need a NVRAM to detect your Flash. Use the commands that I supplied a few days ago and Restore the unit's ability to work for you ! Pin the BDM to the Header, load the local Backup and load the 7.93 Code and make that thing come to life ! I'm finding this slightly hard to believe.
