However, due to the value declared on the custom forms, I have to pay $33 to pickup. I will start to investigate the possibility to add support of Sti710x. Next time if anyone want to donate device to develop, please write done the value as low as possible and as a gift.

The JTAG port is the same as regular ST20 or DCU port. IDcode is found. The data stream is different, however. Need to find out how can we read/write memory first.

st40

avi-plus.com has a thread about that processor and their progress.
I believe it is the equivalent to the stmicro target pack mb411 board used for development.

Need to do a lot of reading first. The is not the same as the DCU. The peek/poke command is different. They mentioned another pin might be needed for ST40 core.
So far only CPU ID can be read.

If we can dump the memory then it is not hard to add program in. I will keep on reading and trying.

Does anyone have a program that declare can read it? Also there seem to have a software called cpld_ejtag_tt which can do ST40. If anyone have a copy of the software I would like to take a look. I know it needs special hardware but the software package might help a little bit. I cannot find the latest software that supports ST40 CPU for download.

you would have to find v 0.1.0.2060
previous versions didn't support st40.
cpld_ejtag_0.1.0.2060.exe

stburner

Post by slugworth »

I was trying to find stburner_mb411_stb7109.zip but all the downloads were corrupt and incomplete.
I finally found a good one at
http://upload.sat-elita.net.pl/content.php?id=1650
it is just listed as n.zip
you hit the Pobierz button at the bottom of the page to download and save.
Maybe that will help.

I have a littler better understanding how this works but the information is somewhat encrypted.
The IR length for SV8000 should be 5 bit. In the urjtag patch, the tapmux uses 5 bits IR length. However, in all the HUDI code it use 8 bit IR length. 8 Bit cannot be true.

ST7100 has several cores, one is ST40 and there are TWO ST231 for audio and video. I think the key is to access ST40 core (HUDI) to be able to program the flash not ST231( DSU).

I will continue working on this.

I found someone can use FT4232H to download u-boot and use serial port to fix the box. I will try that approach and see if I can learn something from it. So far the public document does not help.

I did the other approach and got some interesting result. Now I need to analyze the ELF date of one file and inject to the NT software. Hope that can get me basic peek/poke working. Then I should be able to read/write flash.

Post by slugworth »

I believe the older chinese openbox receivers (s7,s8) also used that processor.
