TM502G Deactivated

Use USB JTAG NT on VOIP device so we can unlock the device or configure the device.

TM502G Deactivated

Post by jrockow »

It's been a long, long time since I got out my JTAG, so I thought I would ask this question before wasting too much time.

I've been using my modem to surf the web for the past 10 years without any problem.
Two days ago I got a message something to the effect I need to activate my modem.
My assumption is Comcast did something on their end to cause this.

Here's my question; is there anything I can do about it, or am I done.
I have a backup of the firmware, but I'm not sure that matters at this point.

If my TM502G cannot be re-activated, what other option do I have?
Thanx or your response.

Is there a difference between a "locked" modem and one that was "deactivated"?

What is your purpose to this modem? These modems have two voip lines. I do not know if there are any testing firmware done to this modem.

My purpose is to use it to connect to the internet. The VOIP is of no use to me.
I just need to know if there is any way to get it activated again.
Thanx.

Can anyone just confirm that once it's been deactivated by the cable company there's no way I can reactivate it?
