If you are using MR33 you might need to consider to check the connection.
If not you need to post the flash and we can find the datasheet of the chip and define it properly.
Newer flash should be able to detect properly.

Based on datasheet you have connection issues with some pins.
1 Gb x8 3.3V 01h F1h 80h 1Dh

You do not have to. Carefully touch each pin with a sharp needle. Press firmly with a clamp. This works for me all the time. No connector is perfect.
