Dumps or backups for the 4100, 4200 and 5100 can be found here:
http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfis ... oup.com%2f
For now the blackcat cable works well for reading and writing to the 4100 and 4200 but ONLY with the INTEL chipset. I do not advise using it to write to any other chipset found in these modems.

Here is def lines for SB4200 and SB4100
Test:
Name=SB4200
Endian=Big
Memory=Ram,0,0x80000000,800000
Memory=Code,1,0x9f000000,200000
IRLength=5
Protocol=EJTAG
DMA=Yes
ProbTrap=1
Do not try to detect it. It uses different ways to detect flash than blackcat (that is why it is fast). I still can not figure out why the DEBUG mode do not access FF200000 while all other MIPS chip do. Use this def to backup SB4200 is very fast.

Firstly excuse me for my bad english, I'm spanish.
Can you help me?
I need know the exact start address and length of the bootloader, 1st and 2nd copy of the firmware, configuration, etc of the 4200 series.
I have 4 4200,s modems that don't syncronize the upstream. All four have the sigma 1.7 firm and when I tried to change it for the hackware v3 beta 2 (supports bpi and docsis 1.1). All four have crashed the same maner, the power, receive, send and standby are always ON.
I recovered 2 of them writing a full copy of the flash of a working one.
The modem starts, the downstream is Locked inmediatly but stops in the "obtaining upstream parameters" process.
I will try to repair it uploading, one to one, the boot, firm, cfg. etc.
You think is a good idea?
Thank's for your attention
