This is a new modem I have come across. It is a VoIP cable modem. Anyone with any info on this to see if it can be modded?

I found the serial interface and there is quite a lot of info/possibilities from the console. I just wish I knew what to do with it. Console is set at 9600 same connection as the vt2142

I think this can be JTAGed. If you send me the full dump I can add this support to UJmodem.

How should I go about dumping the firmware?
I downloaded a firmware update from comcast TFTP site.
SBV5220-17.6.3-SCM-05-SHCC.NNDMN.P7.CSG
When Unzip with "7zip" it creates a file named pktc-production.prp.
It has a tnetc4401pyp chip.
Intel te28f320 flash
Seems like the SBV5120

Use USB JTAG NT to dump. In order to allow UJmodem to support I need to get the cfg area. I am not sure if it is worth supporting it as nobody else is talking about this modem.

Where would you like me to put the file? I have it zipped and it is 3095 KB.

I figured out how to turn off the watchdog from the serial console.
I can do a dump and it no longer resets the modem.
from the "main" menu type "setup" then type "wdtdisable" this disables the watchdog.

Will this disable the WD for SB5120?

I have not tried a sb5120. Maybe some one with a sb5120 can try it.
