What do i need to buy and to do?

I just moved into a new apt in nyc and i connected my last home cable modem dlink dcm202 to catv cable. amazingly all light are green and it says that there is a connection in the cable but i cant access the internet....(on vista it keeps at identifying network)-i'm pretty sure the problem is not OS, i checked with other pc too.
All the lights on the modem are green and i can access the internet.??

Is there anything i can do or buy that can help me get cable......

Is your tcp/ip from the nic card using DHCP features?

Sounds like you are with Optimum online or Comcast?? I'd have a read of the ISP specific forum over at Surfboard Hacker. That will tell you exactly what you need to use to get online.

I'd also purchase a SB5100 modem. You can then use the USBJtag to load the Sigma X, or Sigma X2 firmware onto the modem.
