Having a problem with my USBBDM NT

Post by lordicarus »

I got the bdm a while ago and gave it a try but wasn't able to get it to work. So I picked it back up yesterday and still wasn't able to geet a proper read fram and of the boxes I have. All of them are dct2224/1661/abcdefg 2 ph8 and one ph7

I tried 2 different versions of the usbjtag software but they seem to be doing the same thin. After connecting the bdm, powering up the box, then open the software. I type dct2224 in the command section. While the software goes to the dct2224 menu, the box makes a click sound and becomes unresponsive. Any file I read and save are filled with zeros and if I try and write to it it comes up with an error ending with 0000, 0000

Thank you

Can you give a screen capture? Do you see BDM ON or not? Do you know you might need to cut C105?

I think your flash is all 00 now. So the proper way to debrick it is to use these commands.

reset 1
init
ldram code
flshdct code
erase code
sprogram code

This was you do not need to set the proper RPC.

Looking at the screen shots he has not activated the hardware. He will need to do this first.

Thank you for the reply bdm

The receiver isn't in "0" state... If powerd compleyty up and tuned on it has a valid channel number on the display.

I tried the steps you pointed out and this is the output from it.

Copyright (C) 2010,2011,2012
USB BDM NT 0.40d
Target: DCT2224
-reset 1
-R
-init
-ldram code
-flshdct code
Unknown flash type!
Report these two value to http://www.usbjtag.com/vbforum 0000,0000

I have also tried the steps outlined here but get teh same results.

I am running windows 7 x64
With AMX x3 @ 2.3gz
with 4gig ram

The bdm is pluged in through a usb2.0 hub

I will also try through my old xp laptop right now.

Thank You

On the top bar of usbjtagnt it should say Activated after you connect the usbbdm. On your screen shots it said Not Activated. Just make sure that with the usbbdm plugged into the computer it reads activated.

I hadn't noticed that....

Then it looks like I have an activation problem.

I have my computer hooked directly with my cable modem and I just requested my activation code yesterday, and I received it in an e-mail.

When I click tools then activattion all the information looks good. If I click activate online or ok, nothing happens.

Thanks

Email is case sensitive. If you do not copy/paste it might not work.
