dct2224 door stops error code "8888" and "E08"

Post by aw2walker »

Okay, I've done some google research on two dct2224 error codes. Let me start off by saying I have three dct2224 boxes one a ph7 and the other two are non ph boards w/c105's on them. My programming goes fine after disabling c105 just look at my other post with the code I used.

On Scientific Atlantic board a code of "8888" will show up for three seconds or more don't know why I'm have that problem on a Motorola board. But it says "unplug box for 30 seconds and it 8888 continues call customer care".

Okay on the other dct2224 box I had the error code E11 first did a flash of the working box nvram and code. Now I'm getting error code E08, which are the proper error code for a Motorola box.

E11 means invalid unit address (unplug for 30 seconds if continue call customer care for replacement).

E08 means faulty ram, rom, eeprom, or post failure (box needs to be replace, exchange at local office.)

I'm guessing these boxes needed to be reprogrammed can I do it with USBBDM NT software or are these boxes dead for every??

E11 means your XC chip had been discharged and cannot be fully recovered by BDM NT.
