Unknow Flash in DSR410DNA

Post by Pichardo »

I have a receiver model DSR-410DNA. Selecting DSR405 in the config work fine to read the flash, this is my register view.

Code: Select all

D0= 0004E85C D1= 3ADAB84F D2= FFFFFFFF D3= FFFFFFFF
D4= FFFFFFFF D5= 5C37E280 D6= FFFFFFFF D7= FFFF0000
A0= FFFFFA4E A1= FFFFFFFF A2= 60C68032 A3= A1C6B9E9
A4= FFFFFFFF A5= FFFFFFFF A6= FFFFFD28 A7= FFB5FF00

RPC = 000002BE PCC = FFFFFFFF SR = 00002700 USP = 96714A41
SSP = 99999999 SFC = 00000005 DFC = 00000005 ATEMP= 00000005
FAR = 00FFFA76 VBR = 00000000
I can read a whole plash or separe as boot, plat, app and the nvram too.

But my problem is when i try to "write"

It not detect the flash.. all i got is this

Code: Select all

-flshdct 0
Unknown flash type!

The flash is

AM29F400AB

I include the datasheet here.

I add this in the flash.xml file to include the new flash

Code: Select all

 <flash>
 <id1>0x1</id1>
 <id2>0x22AB</id2>
 <name>AMD AM29F400AB</name>
 <size>0x80000</size>
 <protocol>0</protocol>
 <block>
 <secnum>1</secnum>
 <secsize>0x4000</secsize>
 <secnum>2</secnum>
 <secsize>0x2000</secsize>
 <secnum>1</secnum>
 <secsize>0x8000</secsize>
 <secnum>7</secnum>
 <secsize>0x10000</secsize>
 </block>
I appreciate a lot any help in this . . .

Keep Trying . . . !

This could mean your write of the flash is disabled in hardware. When detect flash you need to be able to write certain command to the flash and read back.

This is another try:

Code: Select all

D0= 000352EB D1= 3ADAB84F D2= 2C0701CE D3= C647A547
D4= F8D4E1D2 D5= 5C37E280 D6= 35E60E00 D7= 53100000
A0= FFFFFA4E A1= 8424F312 A2= 60C68032 A3= A1C6B9E9
A4= AA227942 A5= CD957EB9 A6= FFFFFD28 A7= FFB5FF00

RPC = 000002BE PCC = FFFFFFFF SR = 00002708 USP = 96714A41
SSP = 99999999 SFC = 00000005 DFC = 00000005 ATEMP= 00000005
FAR = 000002BE VBR = 00000000
