Hi,
I found some useful information that could lead to a proper read/write:
Direct read
http://www.uchobby.com/index.php/2007/05/05/read-embedded-flash-chips/
Desoldering
https://community.saas.hpe.com/t5/Security-Research/Reverse-Engineering-NAND-Flash-Memory-POS-device-case-study-part/ba-p/280542#.WY2i062ZPaY
Clip
http://www.360-clip.com
Also, there is a video exemplifying how to read a PS3's NAND:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBOs3JQ_n2U
It'll be nice that this last one could be supported by USBJTAG NT with the help of USBBDM. More and more Arris devices are using these type of chips these days such as the case of the DG1670.
