I had to get a sb5120 today because my sb5100 died and in the store all they had was the sb5120. I am doing soldering a db25 to it since I am sure the extra holes are for debugging and such.

I was wondering if you wouldnt mind adding support to different ports for usb jtag tool. I would like to be able to use my db25 cable, since this is the only program atm that can read the sb5120 and write.

I would love to help out and will be soldering the db25 cable anyway and work on a way to read/write but it would be awesome if you would be able to allow all jtags to work with the proggy.

the whole point to the usb jtag is and software is that it's much faster then using the parallel port. the hardware isn't expensive and will be much faster for you. if you really don't wan to buy it then go ask for support for a 5120 for whatever software you're using now to use your db25.

I understand that the usb jtag is faster and the program is for usbjtag only. I would just like to be able to read from the sb5120 and write original firmware for now.

Edited: Im now working with bbb and possible soon the maker of usbjtag himself.

Due to SB5120 does not have DMA onEJTAG, the programming to flash can not be done yet. I will soon support this in the JTAG software. Keep watching this forum.

awesome, cant wait to see 5120 support for flashing. I myself am buying the cable this week, I didnt have time to go to my friends house to order it. also I noticed the change in the forums title, it makes sense since most posts were about the different surfboard modems.
