Re: cem volvo
Your target XML is not right. Try to use 1.19 and see if the new XML fixes your issue. If not come and chat with me.

Re: cem volvo
So the pin out says to connect a 5v and also 12v to the cem before it can be read? Does this mean you have to separate power supplies hooked up?

Re: cem volvo
Can you come to the site and chat with me? 12V is the power supply. 5V can be found from the board of VCC of any chip.

Re: cem volvo
hi I'm a new member , i purchased a usbjtag from the store (still waiting for it to arrive) , and also have some volvo CEM modules which carries MC68376 + Flash 28F400 which i want to use the device on. , i did spot that there is a 12v supply and also a 5v supply required. , would that require me to use x2 power supplies ? or find a 5v supply from something else on the board. which seems abit dangerous unintentional bridging etc ?

Re: cem volvo
hi
so i am having some difficulty trying to get the NT to read the VOLVOCEM i have here in my workshop. ,I'm using the correct VOLVOCEM XML , i followed the diag that was provided via Haltak. it would appear that the 12v connection & GND for the external power is not correct for this version of CEM , when i powered it the external supply showed a high amp draw and a low voltage. which suggested a short. , the overall picture of the CEM circuitry looks identical.
moving on i managed to find the VDD & VCC else where on the circuit , which allowed me to power it successfully. , i followed the connection scheme but it seems to give me mixed results.
this image below is me attempting too connect with the connection
the above picture , would give me mixed results , in the form of every read was different. , i noticed that the CLK wire is purple but that didn't work the device was silent. , but when i used the red wire the module would burst in to life
i thought maybe it was the length of wires that was coursing the read errors.
the next image is be using the BDM wire directly to the pins , that also gave me the same results.
my next test will be ditch the wiring connection and try and use the pin arrangement on the wiring diag within the software
or am i going in the completely wrong rabbit hole ?
is there a list for the pin connections for the NT?

Re: cem volvo
Your wiring is not too clean but I can tell you this.
1. Your wire is a little too long and consider lower the clock if the result is not consistent.
2. You need to use u-link Diagram not USB BDM NT diagram.
DSI Brown.
DSO Orange.
CLK Green.
BEER Purple
FREEZE Gray
RESET Blue.
3. Your u-link NT needs to activated to get it working properly.
I can help you remotely via zoom remote desktop.
