Your wiring is not too clean but I can tell you this.
1. Your wire is a little too long and consider lower the clock if the result is not consistent.
2. You need to use u-link Diagram not USB BDM NT diagram.
DSI Brown.
DSO Orange.
CLK Green.
BEER Purple
FREEZE Gray
RESET Blue.
3. Your u-link NT needs to activated to get it working properly.

i have changed the wire length , i'll use the u link diagram/ thanks for the list i'll report back findings, and you have already sent me my activation code and i have put it in the software already

i have been flicking from the list you provided and also the picture so i can see where to connect too. but in the software it says about another connection BEER , i assume that is a Typo is that meant to be BERR? , & DSCK -- DSCK does seem to exist on the picture?

i thought id let you all know i have managed to have a successful read on the cem module and was able to re synchro a ecu & cem. not with the USBJTAG tool , but it helped be able to draw the information off.
