the model of cablemodem is thomson 770.
http://medialibrary.thomson.net/Communs ... 68.pdf.PDF
flash type is mx25l6205

the conexion is
JTAG connector of USB JTAG NT Pin on the flash
Pin 4(GND) ISP ( I think it's the chip ping up the small remote.)
Pin 3(TDI) Pin 15(SI)
Pin 5(TDO) Pin 8(SO)
Pin 9(TCK) Pin 16(SCK)
Pin 11(RESET) Pin 7 (CS)
Pin 2(GND) Pin 10(GND)
i need xml to conprobate that the pins are correct.

In your case you need to find the ISP pin yourself. If ISP is not found you cannot access flash directly.zuropy wrote:communicate with the boardcom? not connect the pins boarcom, I connect directly to the flash. boarcom you have is the BCM3380.
Maybe we can use the JTAG to talk to the SPI. That is what I am doing for other devices. If we have proper JTAG pins we should consider using them since it is much easier to connect to JTAG than soldering on the flash chip.

Why Don't you Supply the 3.3 or 5 volts Directly to SPI Flash pin 2???????
Untill the ISP Pin is Found this will Bypass the Need for Now to Find the ISP Pin and See if you get to Properly Detect the Flash Chip.

If you follow SB6120 Connections RED WIRE Goes to ISP Pin. However You don't know on the MOBO Where the ISP Connection is So thats Useless for Now.zuropy wrote:how I can locate the pin isp "?. other pins are similar netgear
JTAG connector of USB JTAG NT Pin on the flash
Pin 4(GND) ISP ???
Pin 3(TDI) Pin 15(SI) ok
Pin 5(TDO) Pin 8(SO) ok
Pin 9(TCK) Pin 16(SCK) ok
Pin 11(RESET) Pin 7 (CS) ok
Pin 2(GND) Pin 10(GND) ok
You can However Supply 3.3 volts or 5 volts to Pin 2 Of SPI Flash Chip And see if you can detect the Chip Properly.

YES thats the VCC Pin for the SPI CHip. Mind you when you Supply the 3.3 or 5 Volts to that Pin You dont use the Modem POWER SUPLLY Or you will Kill the Modem.zuropy wrote:Hello tundra, 5v to this ping???
