Problem with my sb5100
Ok, when I detect it reads
-detect
IDCODE 0334817F
Broadcom BCM3348
IMPCODE 800908
DMA supoorted
Unknown flash type!
Report these two value to [email protected] 0020,0020
I know I am suppose to edit the flash.def, but when look at my flash chip there is a white sticker on it that reads..
501209-001-00
5EC6-V2.3.1.3-
483112-001-69
When I remove the white sticker I can see a hint M28***0CB. and the rest I can only see the last 4 digits of each line. The white sticker has ruined the print on the chip, and I can't figure out anything.

Is this modem bricked? If not the CFI should allow you to get the detail of the flash without need the proper ID in flash.xml.
Wait this is for old USB JTAG or clone USB JTAG? (Confirmed it is a clone and sorry you are out of luck from here).

I think maybe my modem may be bricked.. But I can't debrick it. I've tried every method possible but still detects unknown flash.

Old JTAG does Not work with NEW JTAG Software.xbuoix wrote:Like I said.. the second one I plugged in was the jtag from your site. The second time I replyed was with the old usbjtag from your site. What am I to do now?
You can ether download the soft for Old JTag to use OLD tool os Get a New USBJTAG NT to work with the New Software.
If you just need to fix an SB5100 You can Use the OLD LPT Blackcat with JtagUtility. If you cant fix with that then Nothing will do the Job. LOL

I looked at your post on SBH and clearly you get the clone JTAG. You have not use my JTAG since it will generate different screen output (see EJTAG version there?).xbuoix wrote:Like I said.. the second one I plugged in was the jtag from your site. Also do not be confused with http://www.usbjtags.com That is NOT http://www.usbjtag.com. The JTAG sell on http://www.usbjtags.com is also clone.

Yea, your modem is brick. What you need to do is follow the debrick method. you probably will have to use the 3.3v method.
