what you did was take a firmware update. people that do not take updates for awhile will eventually start loosing channels until they do take the update. it's always best to stay up to date with the caco's firmware. then like you said go back and block it all ..this is/should be common knowledge for most testers..yes the 700 kinda acts the same wayracerx007 wrote:I just figured out that if you a nvram for a dct2244 thats not in the right area but does play some channels but has s0a00 on others if you leave the block application upgrades and block channel updates unchecked then program it
afterwards you do the remote uid change then put the box online and let it play it just seems to map itself right to the local area perfectly with guide. now with the dct700 you do not have a choice to place a checkmark for block channel updates so will the dct700 do the similar channel mapping process like the dct2244 does ?
also don't forget to go back and block channel updates and application upgrades and make backups for later use !
