Ubee U10C035 serial / rs232

Post by ntek »

i thought i'd try to flash Forceware to my Ubee U10C035 (and also a DPC3000) using serial / rs232 since i'm having trouble using my USBJTAGNT. I used to flash Motorola SB4100 and SB4200 easily with this method, but im not finding much info on flashing these modems using serial/rs232 anywhere.

i can upload the firmware to the DPC3000 using serial and tftp, but for whatever reason the firmware doesnt load / save to flash.
I can't even get the U10C035 to cooperate as its not responding to the keyboard when i hit the spacebar to get it to stop booting.

the commands i'm using on the DPC3000:

protect off all
tftpboot 0x40000 forceware.bin
cp.b 0x00040000 0x007f0000 0x380000

anyone have any experience flashing these modems this way? I might try the "protect off all" command then trying to flash with JTAG. maybe the "protect" was why i couldnt flash them before? The U10C035 is the only one i really care about, because i need to get the certs off of it. I can post more info/comands if anyone else has one they want to try messing with via serial / rs232.

I've had success installing forceware on my Uber.
I used my usbjtag nt with an external 3.3v and that was it.
