The price will be similar to the USB JTAG BDM. I do not know the final price yet.

The EJTAG64 porting is finished. The ST20 has not started yet but the USB JTAG can be released without ST20 support in its 0.01 release.
Today I have found some bugs in programming the Intel flash when buffer write is enabled. If we do not use the buffer mode, the speed will be as slow as 15KB/s but with buffer mode, the speed will be up to 380KB/s. (EJTAG64). This happens on large size Intel chip like 28F640J3(DCT6412) or 28F128 (DCT2500).

The hardware should be expected to arrive within one week. I will start to post the difference.

After the command UI stabled, I will then create several applicationa on top of the JTAG.
1. JModems. A GUI app for all modem testers. It will include all the modems
2 JCables GUI app for all digital cable tester include DCT2000. DCT700,DCT6412 DCH DAP501 etc.
3. JDishes, GUI app for all dish testers. More FTA boxes will be supported.
4. JPinFinder, this is based on JTAG NT hardware but different firmware in the CPLD. This will help to find JTAG pins. It will only for advanced users. I will not expect a lot user for this product.

Based on the current experience with cloner, I will start to charge for software, which means the hardware price will continue keep low but I will charge for each of the GUI app. My estimation for the price of the software will be $10 each.

If I stop fighting the cloner, i will have a lot more for the testers. I hope the USB JTAG NT can keep away from the cloner longer.

I have only implemented the software. Hardware watchdog will only be in the configuration. It should not be too hard to find it once sit down and spend one hour on it.

It is totally different.
For each USB JTAG NT, you need one activation code along with your email address.
Each USB JTAG has its own hardware ID. The existing activation will not work.

that sounds fair....

independent modules coded for each type of hardware....

Please remember USBBDM to include support for native .p7 motorola compressed firmwares!!!! (it is a must) (if you need test images , please let me know it)

Also... (and again) if you need firmwares for Arris modems... I have ALL OF THEM from the official Arris site... most of them are telnet ready... (so if you have some time that will be a great addition)

In theory I could re-write the software for USB JTAG as I did for USB JTAG NT. But as the weakness of the hardware and the cloner "effort", I have to focus the energy on new software.
Please keep your purchase information and I will provide free software for one GUI app once GUI apps are developed. When latter GUI app released, you just provide your purchase information of USB JTAG you will get activation code for GUI app.

The hardware is ready. I will soon upload the software. Should be within two days. The first release 0.01 will not have st20 support. Existing user will get discount price.
