WRT54G-TM aka WRT54GL

Post by teddyalmonds »

Before I start -- I am a legit customer of USBJTAG so please don't accuse me of having a clone.

I backed up the flash for both routers. I tried to program a CFE from 1 working WRT54G-TM that already has DD-WRT on it.

detect
IDCODE 0535217F
Broadcom BCM5352
IMPCODE 800904
DMA supoorted
Found Address= 9fc00000 Intel 28F640J3
getram 9fc00000 200000
-sprogram cfe
Program Starts...

And then it freezes. If I power off, turn on it does:

detect
IDCODE 0535217F
Broadcom BCM5352
IMPCODE 800904
DMA supoorted

debrick does not work, any help is appreciated.

debrick
detect
IDCODE 0535217F
Broadcom BCM5352
IMPCODE 800904
DMA supoorted
Unknown flash type!
Report these two value to http://www.usbjtag.com/vbforum 0000,0000

btw please dont respond and tell me that i need to spend more money on another usbjtag just to get help.

After researching the issue more, this router board is said to be the same as the WRT54GS 3.0

Is this correct? Just looking at this quick, this should be ldram instead of getram. Then you should pick the .bin you want to copy.

Sorry -- I neglected to mention that I had getram'd from the 1 remaining WRT54G-TM router before trying to write the CFE portion to the other unit. Right after it tried writing it stopped, I power off the unit and turn it back on and all 4 lights are on.

None of the ethernet ports are responding now. I then tried doing it on one more router and the same thing happened. 2 brand new bricked units now. :(
