2question: sb5100-sbg900

my first question is that i have this sb5100 that's program fine but when i go to hook it up i get all the light's but the pcactivity light. and this will not allow me to get online. now does this mean that i have to debrick it? 2nd question i just came across a sbg900 what do i need to get this going, i have the usb-jtag and the usb-jtag-nt is there a how2 somewhere?

If you programmed wrong firmware you will likely get in this state.
If you use USB JTAG (NT) and cannot detect the flash you need to debrick the modem.
Try to program the modem withg UJmodem will make less mistake.

most likely i did put the wrong software on it. i just check it with usbjtag nt and this is what im getting:
detect

now my i ask how do i correct this no activity light? i tried to program it with ujmodem and got the same problem.

IF boot is wrong, use sprogram the right boot and then power off/on the modem use program to program the rest of the firmware should bring the modem back to life.

hey bdm, are we talking about using the ujmodem or usbjtag nt. not sure how to do this comand. lost, can you please help

Both app should have those commands.
If your modem is bricked you need to use erase and sprogram to program the boot. Or use init sequence then you can directly use fast programming.

sorry for long delay in response on what is going on with this modem. that method did work far as debrick, all lights comes on. but however the pc/activity light doesn't come on at all.

If the PC activity light doesn't comes on maybe It's because you have your Ethernet port disable. It doesn't matter if you was able to JTAG the Modem and load a new Firmware. The modem will work but you won't be able to connect until you enable your LAN. (That is possible if you forgot that detail) Also, It is possible that your LAN cable It's in bad condition, try with another one and see what happens...
