Wireless usb adapter antenna mod

I have been interested in modifying wireless usb adapters to add a external antenna and cant seem to find much as far as "how to's". BDM I know u could tell a guy in your sleep what the 2 contacts points (Shield/Signal) are so he could add a external antenna thus bypassing the internal antenna to get much better range. If I posted front and back pics of the board would that be enough?

Or BDM if u can give some advice-info on this subject so I can figure it out for my self on different boards that be even better.

Anyone else interested or has any links regarding this please jump in and post.
