Linux NT on CentOS-5

Post by Koevoet »

I will start testing CentOS-5 next 32 & 64 bit , I know that the 64bit version does not run on this specific build , so i will wait for you to re-compile it before i test the 64bit.

First run on CentOS-5.5 32bit . using Gnome

Installs fine and you have desktop icon , application does not run in normal user mode or in su mode , the following error pops up in terminal

Qt: Session management error : Authentication Rejected reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed Segmentation fault

Will work more on this one

I think you cannot run in su mode. Try the trick on
lib/udev/rules.d/
It should work. I will focus on the 64 bit now.

It will not work on either 32 or 64 bit of this distro , Segmentation fault.
There is no rules.d on this distro in /lib/udev/

Will leave this distro for now as it is un-workable.

Check /usr/lib/ And see the libQtGui version. If you use 4.5.0 it will crash. You should use 4.7.0 and link them to .4.

This distro is a piece of crap , and i can not get NT to work on it , it will not even allow recent upgrades to the qt sdk .

I would avoid this distro if people are planning to use NT on Linux.
