dct2224 with no display

I have a dct2224 PH8. I bought it from the local flea market. I had the display show up before with channel #, but I don't see anything show up on the tv. I did something to it and now it doesn't have anything display on the front any more. Is my receiver dead? Can I bring it back to life? Thanks for any help.

Yes. The box came with disconnected state and can use NVRAM connect fuction,
Now you need to check which part of the firmware was bad. (boot or plat). Program back the right firmware and put right NVRAM will bring the box back to life.

Thanks usbbdm. I am very new on this. I know I need to learn more. I don't know much about boot and plat. Can you please give me some steps I can try out?
