Post by eltondapg »

Hello! my friends users and moderators, I'm detecting a problem sb5101u, when I give the following command in the softwear 0:45 NT error: Copyright (C) 2010,2011,2012
USB JTAG NT 0.45A
Target: SB5102
flshdct-0
Unknown flash type!
Report these values http://www.usbjtag.com/vbforum 00ff, 00ff, 00ff

Now comes my doubt! I'm feeding the power to the external modem will be unique in this problem and because it 12v and 5v e need to do if the error is such as to make food with 5v and the place where to connect the 5v.
I try with several here including sb5101n and also of the same error, and one I'm wearing a pin with testclip that met here in the forum but did not believe that connection is poorly made. please anyone who can help me thank you very much, I will post some pictures as soon as possible

1. You need to see the software activated properly.
2. You need solder the pins properly. ISP is the key to get detected.
3. You need to apply external 12V to the modem.

If not activated you need to get the activation code first. Send email to request activation code.

DEBUG mode is not for SPI programming. So it is normal to see NO DEBUG.

I see no sign you are making soldering the ISP pin. Apply 5V might not work.

I'm doing the following, put the software to order 5102,
testclip connect the chip to pin 1 of the following flash, then put the usbjtag the PC's USB port and connect in usbjtag ready software active, and there I put on the 12v external modem and wait 15 seconds to close ums in short spi pin and clear lights that light up are just there on February 1 Acez and a flashing, it ta sure I'm doing right!

Pin 1 on JTAG is red.
Pin 1 on the chip is lower left. You need to find the datasheet of the flash chip.

Please do not understand, what would datasheet and my pinagen this right by following a pin as you've indicated I had already done under the right pin, red corresponds to 1 and it was what I did, I feel I'm coming already la, I see you take some pictures for better verification, and see what I'm missing, because this my first and 5101u, others have been successful easy, but this has now become matter of honor!

The pictures looks OK.
If you have the pins matched properly there is no reason you cannot detect the flash.
You need to draw the diagram how you connect to the pins.

The software has a button yon can see how SPI is connected to the flash.
You should also use multimeter to check if it is reliably connected.

I used soldering instead use the clip and I do not know how reliable is the connector.
