hey guys
Do not have that info and I need very badly now.
Do not have any knowledge about dish receivers, except very basic 301 013 and 301 010.
Most sat sites are closed now, and those opened have IP logged and controlled by dish rats and snitches, as they deal mostly with IKS.

My question is:

What dish receivers have STi 7111 or STi 7105 processors ?????

Think, that this is BGA type processor.

Sorry that I can't help you much regarding your question. After the Nagravision 3 kicked in all FTA went down the hill. However, BGA abbreviation stands for Ball Grid Array which is a type of a chip housing package and not a type of processor. Certainly most of the ASIC chips as the processors are, made in the last 10 years were manufactured as a BGA package. There are also BGA flash chips, BGA interface chips, etc. With all due respect I just wanted to clarify your statement.

Oh, thats some mistypo, he he he, right , should be BGA packaging.
But thanx for your response.
What I have find out after 16 hours search, most newer dish receivers have BCM 4500/3440 processor.

But my knowledge about dish receivers is minimal, thats why I asked, thought that some dish guru's would give me an answer.

No, I am not interested in fta receivers, my question was related to dish receivers only.
Thx again

How do you know STi chipsets are in DISH set-tops?
Maybe only Broadcom chipsets are in new HD set-tops.

btw BCM 4500/3440 is the satellite demod/tuner, not the main decoder.

OK, in other countries, South America, dish receivers have STi as a main processor, example : Claro tv.

How do I know ???? I do not know, I am just asking.
So do you know what main decoder chip is in the dish set top boxes in North America ??????

No clue...I have never had DISH, but my guess would be broadcom.
Maybe bcm7405/7413/7425.
The ejtag ports on these production CPU are locked/secured..at least they are on the Comcast boxes I tried.
