Adapter from USBJtag to Simple Jtag Cable

Post by modman »

I have made a adapter for the Usbjtag to Simple Jtag Cable (parallel printer port)

This way you can use your hands free jtag that you have bought or made.

You will need a IDC connector 10 or 14 pin however your usbjtag is setup and D-sub 25 pin female connector about 6 inches of ribbon cable and one small roach clip :) for ground clamp.

IDC 25 D-sub Female

1 to 5
3 to 4
5 to 13
7 to 2
9 to 3

2,4,6,8 ground on IDC connector

Just to be careful about the length of the cable. USB JTAG (NT) uses 12MHz (I plan to use 24MHz to increase the speed), if the cable is too long you might get incorrect data.
