It will be tap 1 or tap 2 etc.
But the result needs to be interpreted.

Normally it should show DMA supported. So I need to issue come tap command to see if the data is right.

I know this is old thread but since I got the same bricked wrt54gs v 1.1 with 8mb flash i figured i'll try here first...
tryed wrt54gs def along with wrtdebrick and wrt54g8mb but never got it to detect flash...

the power light is blinking and lan light lights up when cable is pluged in is the state of this brick....

I am using .19. I have downloaded version .21 but I don't see how that version will help the situation. The problem is the usbjtag.def for the WRT54GS. This WRT54GS has a 8MB flash for the Intel 28F640J3 controlled by a BCM4712 so it is a bit different than the definition written in by default. Any assistance editing this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Which version of software you are using? There are certain version of software that will cause some problem. If you use 0.21 you should have less trouble.

Hello. I have a WRT54GS v1.1 that is bricked. USBJtag identifies this as:

IDCODE 1471217F
Broadcom BCM4712
IMPCODE 800904
DMA supoorted
Found Address= 9fc00000 Intel 28F640J3

When writing CFE I must erase and then use sprogram for it to appear to write. However when finished it doesn't appear to do anything. CMPRAM is useful to let me know for sure this is true.

I was told by a friend that this has been acknowledged as not actually able to write data. Is there any kind of fix for this?
