USB BDM NT is still the one you need.
u-Link NT is replacing USB JTAG NT. (100% backward compatible).
USB BDM NT is still the one for MC6833X CPU.

If I have more info about M32C, I should be able to develop tool for it.

Hello! New member from Norway here Im interesting in alot but primary Volvocars P2 platform mainly v70 2000-2008 and xc90 up to 2014. And this interesting is going very deep into the circutboards of the ecus.

Im here because I wanna buy BDM equipment for reading CEM (central electric module) in Volvocars. As I understand I need to buy USB BDM NT and can I buy the new one that replaces usb jtag nt? (Usb u-link Nt)The CEM 2000-2004 has Motorola M68376 mcu and ??28F400 flash. ??=ab,tb, and others. From 2005 it has Renesas M32C but I guess I need another bdm tool for reading that?

Except from the bdm reader, I guess I also need wires to connect between the bdm and circut board?

We is discontinued and it is replaced by u-Link NT.
u-Link NT is 100% compatible with USB JTAG NT in terms of functionality.
We are continue support the USB JTAG NT in the new software. So no need to worry about the support.
Only limitation would be the feature that can only work on u-Link NT. (eg. 1 wire EEPROM, ATmega).
